you’re not a bad human for being in pain & having emotions

none of this is easy

you’re never alone in it

a lot of us forget that we’re growing together & we could all benefit from understanding our own mental health which helps us understand & care for others too


I’ve dealt with mental illness for the majority of my life on my own

after asking for help on more occasions than i care to count

now i have an incredible therapist who helps me in all the ways i needed

when i was growing up

& it’s never too late

even if you have to ask for it over and over and over

because the system needs to change

you need to know

it’s ok

to ask for help

you deserve care and compassion

seeking it for yourself is admirable

talking with a therapist is one way

We’re all meant to feel certain levels of anxiety

fear sadness anger & all of the emotions on the wheel

but feeling excessive amounts of anything is known to be harmful

our mental health deserves just as much care as our physical health
